Big 12 College Football Baylor Bears at Oklahoma State Cowboys Start Time

Despite last week’s loss to OU, the Bears are still in the thick of things in the Big 12, having an explosive offense capable of piling up yardage and points very quickly. But the close comparison between Notre Dame and the Sooners may lead to a tiebreaker for the committee where they look at their one common opponent, which is not ideal considering that Texas is the lone common team they’ve played this season.

Last year, Baylor and TCU shared the Big 12 title and both missed out on a possible playoff berth because there was no title game.

A lot of “ifs” are involved in those scenarios, but the point of the matter is: The Big 12 title is still up for grabs.

The loaded Saturday slate also features Notre Dame taking on Boston College at Fenway Park and UNLV hosting San Diego State.

Stoops and the Sooners have worked hard at burying last year’s disaster of a season while at the same time using their one stumble in 2015 to fuel the rest of their season.

Yes it could, especially if it means keeping Notre Dame, which, as you may know, has a nice little national following. If we’ve learned anything from the committee, it’s that whom you beat matters more than whom you lose to. “Get that out, would you”.

The game will impact the Big 12 championship and possibly the College Football Playoff.

The Spartans are one play away from being undefeated themselves and have a chance to do something no other team has done since Virginia Tech last season: beat the Buckeyes. No. 18 TCU at No. 7 Oklahoma, 8 ET: This game would have been among our top to watch this week if TCU wasn’t on a bit of a slide and without receiver Josh Doctson and possibly quarterback Trevonne Boykin. For the season, he ranks third in the nation in completion percentage (70.2), second in yards per passing attempt (10.0), and second in efficiency rating (183.9).

The road teams both have quarterback issues. After the TCU offense continued to sputter, Foster was inserted into the game and completed 1-of-7 passes for 42 yards and a touchdown.

Game Prediction and Free Pick: This will likely be a high scoring game.

It was another game and another 100-yard rushing performance for Ezekiel Elliott, his 15th straight 100-yard game to be exact, which leads the FBS. Again, it is nice to see teams that can run the ball like that.

See TCU. The Bears, however, don’t have as solid of a resume as TCU.

With one more victory, Oklahoma will notch its 13th season of at least 10 victories under Stoops, an unmatched run at the school. Oklahoma State wins in a shootout. But injuries are mostly to blame for the occasional defensive woes.

Still, the Horned Frogs will be shorthanded. Defensively, Oklahoma State is allowing 24.5 points and 393 yards per game.

While the TCU defense may have its flaws, it does have a few areas where it excels.

Undefeated Oklahoma State are going to try to keep it rolling into the BCS playoff as they take on Baylor team coming off its first loss this year. Stanford’s loss to OR last week didn’t seem to have as large an impact as I thought it would in the eyes of the Selection Committee, but I can’t help but believe its playoff hopes are gone. They shut down Heisman candidate and Greek God Leonard Fournette, stomped into Athens, Georgia and demolished a (albeit incorrectly) favored Georgia side, and made quick work of a trendy Mississippi State squad in Dak Prescott’s penultimate home game.
