The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2
And yes, of course many characters perish. She has become the face of so much throughout these movies that people have gotten used to blaming her for any death and destruction that occurs.
Jennifer Lawrence is no stranger to red carpet mishaps but she’s admitted she also managed to dislocate her toe in bed. Of the four films, it wasn’t my favorite but it certainly was better than Mocking jay Part I. Being 24 was this whole year of ‘who am I without these movies?’ and ‘who am I without this man?
After enjoying the first movie, suffering my way through the second and absolutely loving the penultimate in the third, I find myself feeling rather undecided about the conclusion. “I don’t feel like I’m being dragged by anything anymore”, Lawrence says. Do a shot every time Katniss is knocked out and fights to regain consciousness and my guess is you’ll be just a shell-shocked as she is by the end of the movie. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve never looked forward to the release of the next film in the franchise, I haven’t read the books, and honestly, I’m not a big fan of the films themselves. And I think that this character is so overwhelmingly supportive of women.
One of the most anticipated movies of the year has landed, and it’s been a long time coming.
The huge success of the first film prompted others to sign on, like Julianne Moore and Philip Seymour Hoffman, who is given a nice posthumous sendoff.
“It’s just so exhausting, they have pushed this show pony too far.” she says. Okay, we’re in a sewer now. “I didn’t go to school” she jokes.
As for the future, Lawrence claimed she would be open to starring as “Captain Marvel” and playing in the Marvel Studios sandbox with frequent co-star Bradley Cooper and future co-star Chris Pratt. “I had three days when my voice was like completely gone”.
Asked why she regularly calls her “Hunger Games” co-star a “bear”, the blonde beauty said: “He’s an animal!” Reviewing Mockingjay – Part 2 in the Guardian, Peter Bradshaw said: “Despite being over-extended, it’s interesting how much energy and ingenuity this story turned out to have”. “Jennifer Lawrence, your emotional depth, luminous presence, and sheer power carry this story and I will always be grateful to you for opening the door and allowing it to come into your life”.
Let’s talk about the explosions, since they seem to be the only thing that happens in the movie.
