Trump Leads The Polls After The Paris Attacks
Instead, it seems that Republican voters have found themselves drawn to Trump who in a new ad where he proclaims I will bomb the hell out of ISIS. Online surveys are generally considered less scientific.
Among those with college degrees or more, the Republican race is utterly divided, with Trump, Carson, Cruz and Rubio getting almost equal levels of support. That does not work against Rubio (although Cruz is ham-handedly accusing him of being a “moderate”), who has a 93 percent rating from the infamous right-wing Heritage Action, an A rating from the NRA, a 98 percent rating from the American Conservative Union, and praise from the Club for Growth.
Answering an audience member’s question after a televised town hall-style interview ahead of his rally, Trump said America can’t worry about unfair labeling of Muslims, and pointed to the recent terrorist attacks in Paris and elsewhere.
Trump and Carson are neck-and-neck in national and Iowa polls.
Following Carson are three candidates who have focused overwhelmingly on New Hampshire, which tends to support more moderate Republicans: Jeb Bush, John Kasich, and Chris Christie, who win 9%, 7% and 6%, respectively.
“Carson is popular right now because of the fact that he has been brought up in to the presidential spotlight without any of the “corruption” that the many people believe the political system instills in other people as they become career politicians like Hillary Clinton”.
Cruz says he has the money and organization to prevail in the so-called SEC primary, but former NY mayor Rudy Giuliani learned the hard way that you can not lose repeatedly and pin your hopes on later primaries. In contrast, only 39 per cent said they held a favourable view of Trump and 52 per cent had unfavourable opinions of him.
♦ Carson 45 percent, Clinton 44 percent. Carson was the clear victor among Republicans in that poll, with 25 percent.
This represents a significant disparity between the national political polling, which has Trump leading the chase for the republican presidential nomination with 24.8 per cent of the vote. Bernie Sanders of Vermont at 41% and former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley at 2%. No other candidates gathered more than five percent of the vote.
Senate rematch Democrat Russ Feingold held a 49% to 38% lead over incumbent Republican Ron Johnson. For the general-election numbers, 829 registered Florida voters were surveyed.
All the candidates remain below 50 percent in the hypothetical matchups tested in this battleground state. Ted Cruz at 11 percent.
On November 4, this same Ipsos/Reuters poll of adults had it Trump 29, Carson 19, Bush/Rubio 10. The Democratic results are based on 374 Democrats or independents who lean Democratic.
“When Pope Francis came to visit the United States and gave a speech before Congress, he didn’t just speak about Christians who were being persecuted, he didn’t call on Catholic parishes just to admit those who were of the same religious faith, he said protect people who were vulnerable”, Obama continued.
