No. 4 Oklahoma State vs. No. 10 Baylor: Three Bears to watch

It’s hard to believe there are just two weeks remaining before championship week and so many divisional races are still up in there air.

Personally I’m not going to bet on this game, but I do like Ole Miss just because there at home. Only heaven knows why the Pac-12 continues to play nine conference games plus a championship game at the end.

On the other side, Buckeye running back Ezekiel Elliott could also rise to the top of the Heisman polls. Elliott has rushed for at least 100 yards in every contest this season. The Horned Frogs are looking to reach double-digit wins for the sixth time in the last eight years and 10th in the past 14. Peterson had an impressive game last season against 2015 top 10 pick Kevin White from West Virginia as he held him to only 3 catches for 27 yards.

Oklahoma State is outscoring teams 44-25 this season. But if one team can emerge from the heap, they’ll have a great chance to get into the playoff. TCU or Baylor winning the Big 12 won’t have a better resume than Notre Dame. Stoops says this team might be his best in terms of practice habits and attitude.

Defensively, the Bears must step up their pressure and quarterback contain. Neither of these teams play great defense, both are allowing about 400 total yards on defense and over 24 points per game so there’s no question that this game has all the makings of a barn burner.

Texas A&M (7-3, 3-3 SEC) at Vanderbilt (4-6, 2-4 SEC) (6:30 p.m. Saturday, SEC Network): The Aggies are still searching for an offensive identity and opened the competition at quarterback again this week. Also the committee doesn’t care about the upper respiratory infection that swept through the OSU team leading up to the OSU vs Iowa State game. Playing at Fenway Park may bring added pressure to the Irish which could favor the Eagles.

“A 7 o’clock game gives them an extra hour to get charged up, if you know what I mean”. So tune in to see “Enter Sandman” and a stadium go insane for the man who made Virginia Tech actually matter, and stick around to see North Carolina, a team that could have a huge impact on the playoff picture these last few weeks. The Buccaneers have already clinched the Big South and won’t risk an injury in this meaningless game heading into the postseason. UCLA has been the opposite.

Oklahoma State got its fans excited last season by giving defending national champion Florida State a battle before losing 37-31.
