Queen Elizabeth II Presented the Honorary Damehood to the Maleficent actress, Angelina Jolie
The meeting of two queens! The Queen of England, Queen Elizabeth II meets the queen of Hollywood, Angelina Jolie.
With husband and kids
On Friday, October 10, 2014 the Queen of England honored Brad Pitt’s wife, Angelina Jolie, in the Buckingham Palace in London. A source familiar to the incident informed the Us Weekly that actress was accompanied by her husband and six children in the extraordinary occasion.
The highest civilian honor
The 39 years old actress met the Royal Majesty in the palace, room number 1844. The queen presented Angelina an ‘Honorary Dame Grand Cross’. This Honorary Dame is equivalent to the knighthood, the highest citizen honor in the British Empire for females.
Angelina stated, “To receive an honor related to foreign policy means a great deal to me, as it is what I wish to dedicate my working life to.” The beautiful actress also said, “Working on PVSI and with survivors of rape is an honor in itself. I know that succeeding in our goals will take a lifetime, and I am dedicated to it for all of mine.”
The kids were excited
A source close to Angelina Jolie stated to the Us Weekly that kids of the celebrity couple were very excited in the Palace. All the kids dressed up smartly for the show.

The ‘Maleficent’ actress dressed extraordinary for the event. Angelina flaunts her sophisticated look in couture from Ralph & Russo, and she accessorized with her Salvatore Ferragamo heels. She was spotted wearing minimum jewelry with her wedding band and tiny pearl earrings.
The Honorary Dame Grand Commander
Angelina Jolie is not a citizen of the Commonwealth so in its place of formal Dame Title she received ‘Honorary Dame Grand Commander’. However, the HDGC can still be mentioned beside her name.

In June, Angelina Jolie’s name was enlisted in the Queen’s Birthday Honor List, because of her humanitarian work. The actor couple is working on their forthcoming movie ‘By the Sea’ in Malta.
