Manuel Pellegrini’s Manchester City, have scored 26 Premier league goals already this season and in fine form and haven’t been beaten in nine matches in all competitions.
Kelechi Iheanacho was sent on for Aguero with 24 minutes left, but City were made to pay for failing to find a way back as Skrtel hit a fine volley past Hart from 15 yards to cap a superb day for Klopp and his side. “Not only Raheem, but all the players to play against the team they work for many players”, said Pellegrini.
The loss drops City to third in the league, behind both Manchester United and the stunning Leicester City and the Jamie Vardy phenomenon.
“The good news is that we can do better”.
“I thought we were top class during the first half, second half we probably did not play as well, but we defended just as well”.

Manchester City’s defensive frailties in the absence of Vincent Kompany were highlighted again for the second goal as Firmino took advantage of Mangala’s indecision to run into the box before delivering a low pass across goal for Coutinho to stroke home. “We tried to fight but continued making so many mistakes with the ball”.
“I said after that I didn’t want headlines from that”.
City are even more frequently tormented by Coutinho, who created two goals either side of bagging his fourth in five games versus the Blues as Liverpool produced a breathtaking first-half performance.
“He was with us at Melwood, the same as Phil Coutinho, and that was the reason we played like this in a formation like this”. He felt something. I hope that’s all it was, because everybody can see he’s very important to us.
Liverpool are past the hardest part of their schedule, and with Klopp’s influence beginning to set in, there’s reason to be optimistic about the next month.
