Washington State quarterback Luke Falk carted off field with head injury
Falk was strapped to a backboard & carted off after being sacked by Colorado’s Samson Kafovalu on Saturday.
Just like the previous week against UCLA, Falk’s head ricocheted off the turf -cold, solid turf made harder by the 29-degree nighttime temperatures. He appeared to be knocked out & was down on the sector for about seven minutes.
Falk and his replacement, Peyton Bender, combined to pass for 332 yards and two touchdowns.
On a frigid Senior Night at Martin Stadium, No. 24 Washington State closed out its home slate in the exact opposite way it started: with a dominating 27-3 blowout win against Colorado that gave WSU its eighth win for the first time since the 2003 season.
Marks now has the school’s single-season receiving touchdown mark of 14.
It was WSU’s second-longest scoring drive of the season behind a 99-yard scoring series against Arizona State.

Charleston White’s interception of Colorado quarterback Cade Apsay on the Buffaloes first second-half series set up Erik Powell’s 31-yard field goal to give WSU a 17-0 lead at the 10:47 mark of the third quarter.
Gonzalez hit from 24 yards late in the third quarter, but the three points were the fewest allowed by Washington State to a Pac-10/12 opponent since beating Oregon State 24-3 on October 12, 1996. The quarterback lay on his back, unmoving at first.
Apsay showed off a strong arm and tangible chemistry with Colorado’s All-American receiver, Nelson Spruce, who had eight receptions for 103 yards by halftime.
