Dybala: I can do much more
Sinisa Mihajlovic and AC Milan failed once again to defeat Juventus on Saturday. “Paul Pogba did very well and helped set up the goal, but after that was playing to the crowd a bit too much”. However Khedira was left out of Massimiliano Allegri’s matchday squad and Evra hobbled off with an apparent ankle problem before the half-hour to be replaced by Alex Sandro. Hopefully we’ll get a good result on Wednesday against Manchester City too.
Max Allegri had a few things to say after Juventus earned a 1-0 win, their third victory in a row.
“During the game, above all the first half, we made too many mistakes in our passing and then we got the counter-attacks wrong too” Mihajlovic told Sky Sports. It still puts them six points with one more match than Fiorentina for the top spot in the league, but after such a slow start, the four-time in a row champions are finding the right kind of form and most importantly, picking up the points.
Both sides had struggled to break down the opposition’s solid defences, with 16-year-old Milan goalkeeper Donnarumma denying Juve every time they went close to opening the scoring.
Yet while Bacca toiled, there is little doubt that without Dybala, this game would have ended scoreless, his incision proving to be the difference between the two sides by the end of the match. We have to gain more serenity and move the ball around with less panic. “We can certainly do better”.
“We allowed nothing except for that Alessio Cerci shot in stoppage time”.
