Idaho unemployment dropped to 4 percent in October
The retail sector did not report an increase in employment, but Weaver said it may see a boost next month with the traditional seasonal hiring that takes place in November. The US Bureau of Labor Statistics just released its monthly estimates of unemployment rates in all 50 USA states and the District of Columbia, and things are looking pretty good. The September rate in New Mexico was 6.7 percent.
Among the nine geographic divisions, the West North Central had the lowest unemployment rate, 4.0 percent in October.
