Adele pretends to be Adele impersonator named Jenny
As well as performing and chatting with Graham Norton during her TV special, Adele filmed a comedy sketch, donning a prosthetic chin and nose to subtly alter her appearance for the audition. Another impersonator chimes in “I’d like to see you say that to her face”. I’ve been saying it since my very first interview with pitchfork (http://pitchfork.com/features/rising/9528-tobias-jesso-jr/) and had no idea I would ever get to meet her or what I would do/say if I ever did.
“She’s taking her time”, the real Adele said. As it dawns on the other singers that they’re in the presence of the real deal, they join her in song.
“Can’t wait for the new album”, one impersonator comments.
The 25 hitmaker surprised several Adele impersonators by disguising herself as an Adele impersonator named “Jenny” and it worked like a charm.
Adele even wore long black gloves to cover up the giveaway tattoo of her son’s name on her hand.
The 27-year-old also had to ensure she changed her voice to match the character of Jenny.
Adele has a young son, Angelo, with her partner Simon Konecki.
Committed to selling the prank, she even went so far as to fake nerves before her performance, pretending to be sick and missing her cue.
And then, these lucky ladies realize they’re sitting in the FRONT ROW at a private Adele concert and they just sit back and take it all in. In the United States, Columbia Records planned to ship 3.6 million physical copies, making “25” the album with the most new-release CDs shipped in the past decade, according to Billboard.
