Director Francis Lawrence interested in ‘Hunger Games’ prequel
Jennifer Lawrence returns with co-stars Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth, as do Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, Donald Sutherland and Stanley Tucci for director Francis Lawrence.
However, such a film would be lacking in one key ingredient – Jennifer Lawrence’s Katniss Everdeen, who the director says is definitely making her last appearance in Mockingjay part two.
The final chapter in The Hunger Games franchise has just hit cinemas, giving closure to the millions of fans worldwide.
He explained: “Young people when they see me in an airport walking down will grab hold of my pants – they’re all small and their mother will stand them up on a chair or something and they’ll have their picture taken but they do ask when they’re standing beside me and whisper in my ear “look mean, please”. Of course, as the army of the rebellion grows stronger an near their final target, the danger increases with a deadly trap around every corner as Katniss and her team move closer and closer to the Capitol’s center.
But a couple of the “Hunger Games” actors are getting panned in several reviews.
Katniss leads a small group on a daring assassination mission inside the capital as the rebel army attacks the outer walls. “Mockingjay Part 2” send the story out with a bang? Instead of seeing Katniss with her iconic bow and arrow, movie goers will only see the image of the flaming mockingjay, which can be seen at the back of Lawrence in the original posters. According to Variety, Mockingjay-Part 2 will most likely become the fourth-biggest domestic opening of 2015. Even the ending dragged on about fifteen more minutes than it should have.
There wasn’t anything that really stood out as exceptional in Mockingjay – Part 2, the performances were good, the CGI was good, and the story wasn’t bad, but nothing about it was excellent.
I have to admit I lost track of what was happening to the various characters in a few of the scenes in this second part of the finale.
We finally come to the end of another franchise – one that has pulled in enormous crowds for the past four years.
