Consumers confused by the choice of Black Friday

At the same time, the prevalence of online and mobile shopping has led retailers to offer compelling reasons to shop all season, and consumers don’t necessarily feel the need to shop on Black Friday to grab the best deals. REI stores will be closed Thanksgiving and Black Friday – a first for the company. This is a free app that allows you to shop right from the app, and it will let you know when the Walmart Black Friday 2015 ad release arrives.
It will once again close stores at 1 a.m. and reopen at 8 a.m. on Black Friday.
After overall Thanksgiving weekend sales plummeted by 11 percent previous year over 2013 sales, retailers are already hyping up deals to get shoppers into the store or to a mobile device for the Black Friday buying frenzy.
Meanwhile, Toys “R” Us plans to keep its stores open for 30 consecutive hours following its Thanksgiving Day opening.
StaplesSome companies, such as Staples, are holding out for a Friday opening. The move is a strategic attempt by the general merchandise retailer to adopt a more competitive stance against its brick-and-mortar and online rivals.
Black Friday seems to come, earlier and earlier every year.
More than half of the retailers, including the likes of Belk, Macy’s and Sears, plan to usher in shoppers by 6:00 p.m. on Thanksgiving evening.
Walmart is also offering discounted Fitbit fitness trackers.
But that uptick would be smaller than last year’s 4.1 percent gain. As MacRumors notes, picking up third-party retailers’ deals on Apple Products is a pretty good idea, since as Apple never gives discounts on much of anything.
Also, there will be a Black Friday presale on the November 25, the details of which will be posted on Target’s website on November 22. The lineup will also include iPad and Android tablets, laptops, and home audio deals.
