Puppies found trapped in aquarium cemented shut
A MS man made a shocking find while he was walking by a creek bank near his Hinds County home – two puppies sealed inside an aquarium.
Williamson was searching for his own lost dog when he stumbled upon the aquarium on Wednesday, the NY Daily News reports. The top of the aquarium had reportedly been cemented shut. The helpless black-and-white canines were trapped inside the glass box with the lid cruelly cemented shut.
“As I got closer, I saw these eyes peering out at me and they looked pretty desolate, like they needed help”, Williamson said to WAPT 16 News of Jackson, Mississippi.
When a WAPT reporter reached out to pet one of the puppies recovering at the rescue, her sister sticking close by put her arm around her protectively, the station said.
The puppies are doing very well, taking into consideration the ordeal they have been put through.
‘They wanted these puppies to drown in here’.
Williamson immediately alerted Hinds County authorities who rushed to the scene, reported WAPT.com. The dogs were skittish and were running a fever. Boswell added that the two are most likely feral, born in the forest because they do not seem used to the handling of humans.
If the puppies remain healthy after their isolation ends, they will be put up for adoption.
