More stores to close on Thanksgiving Day
Up until previous year, nearly every retailer offered deals starting before Thanksgiving and extending them till the weekend. For eight days beginning today, the retailer is offering new sales each day and there are plenty of insane deals to enjoy.
Now that you know where to go, how can you maximize deals on Black Friday?
REI announced last month that, not only is the store not opening on Thanksgiving, the outdoor retailer will stay closed for Black Friday, too, telling it’s customers: “Get outside!” But there’s a dirty little Black Friday secret. This could spell trouble for brick-and-mortar retailers that depend on holiday shopping foot traffic and the overall allure of Black Friday, which seems to be waning, to drive up sales.
“Deals are being spread out and they’re earlier this year, but we’re definitely seeing that Thanksgiving and especially Black Friday deals will be incredible and the best of the year”, Glaser said.
“Black Friday is no longer just a one-day holiday exclusively centered on in-store shopping”, said CTA’s chief economist and senior director of research Shawn DuBravac.
It’s actually not dead, despite Amazon’s sort of ingenious strategy to kill it by rolling out “Black Friday” deals well ahead of the date. In contrast, we have another 50-inch HDTV on Black Friday deals, which goes sale for $240 price.
Black Friday started on a Sunday (Nov. 15) for Sears Holdings for the first time, the company said.
Although Black Friday was a big success the level of demand took us by surprise.
To help customers keep track of deals (and once more strengthen the tie to mobile) the e-retail giant has introduced a “Watch a Deal” feature, with push notifications that customers receive when a deal is on. That includes Dollar Tree, Toyland, Amazon, Best Buy and so many other stores.

However, experts are saying Black Friday 2015 may be the biggest online spending day in history and with just days away consumers are gearing up, as is the big online stores, such as Amazon, Best Buy, Target and retailers Macy’s. Cyber Monday is also shaping up to big, with 79.6%, or potentially 183.8 million unique shoppers, planning to spend a few money.
The iPad Air 2 is an especially popular Black Friday deal and comes with deep discounts.
