Bethesda Warns Against Using Fallout 4 PC Console Commands
A modder rooting through Fallout 4’s assetsfound an unused weapon whose unusual animation hints at a few kind of underwater level in the game, either planned and scrapped or yet to come in DLC.
You think you knew what a harpoon gun should look like, but the Fallout 4 Harpoon Gun is truly brilliant to behold, featuring six harpoons that load and fire like the railway gun. He responded, “definitely not. we do not recommend use of console commands for PC players. they screw up their save games”. This weapon will override the ‘Railway Rifle so it works as a harpoon should. Hines said doing so can “very easily mess up save games”, which could be a particularly painful problem as Fallout 4 is such a big game. It’s not clear exactly why the Harpoon Gun was left out of the game, but tell-tale bubble effects coming from the harpoon suggests the gun was intended for underwater use. It requires special ammo, though, so you will need to use the console command “player.additem 000fe269 50” to add the harpoon gun’s ammo to your inventory.
Considering that Fallout 4 is a massive game with tons of secrets yet to be discovered just by playing through, it remains to be seen if there’s more cut content hidden in the game’s files.
