Thompson promoted to 49ers active roster

The club signed him to a $115 million contract extension through the 2020 season.

The 49ers have lost four in a row to Seattle and six of seven, held to single digits in their past three defeats with just one touchdown while getting outscored 56-13.

Moving that contract in a trade could be hard if Kaepernick isn’t willing to renegotiate. Does that mean the team is on the hook for his $11.9M salary that is guaranteed for injury?
