As expected, Romo in starting lineup for Cowboys at Dolphins

Miami had just 68 yards in the first half until the 54-yard touchdown possession leaving just 16 seconds in the half. Romo, under pressure, was trying to dump the ball to running back Robert Turbin, who joined the team on Wednesday, but the ball sailed over Turbin’s head into the arms of Hewitt. Dallas committed 10 penalties and Miami nine.

Neither team were able to find the scoreboard in the opening quarter of the game as a downpour in Miami limited the passing ability of the teams.

The Dallas Cowboys (2-7) are hoping to make a run at the National Football Conference (NFL) Eastern division title in spite of a seven-game losing record.

In the second half Romo completed 9 of 12 passes for 95 yards and the touchdown to Bryant. The Cowboys have a little bit more time and schedule to work with, but probably a more hard road towards that goal, and with every loss that they do pickup (and it’s certainly possible considering who they’re playing, including Newton’s Panthers, still undefeated by the way), the reason to keep Romo on the field loses a little bit of argument strength.

Darren McFadden provided offensive balance by rushing for 129 yards.
