Woman cuts baby from victim’s stomach in NY appartment

It’s alleged that Sutton, who was almost nine months pregnant, was strangled and stabbed several times in the torso inside Wade’s apartment in the Bronx. Wade, they say, was never pregnant – 22-year-old Angelikque Sutton was.

A Bronx woman has been fatally stabbed and her baby was ripped from her womb, in a gruesome incident which occurred on Friday at 4450 Monticello Avenue, in the vicinity of West Fourth Street. According to the paper’s police sources, she allegedly told investigators Sutton came at her with a knife, which she wrestled from her hand and jammed into her neck.

Wade’s boyfriend – who phoned 911 after walking into the blood-splattered apartment – was also being questioned Friday evening, authorities said. A message left with her boyfriend wasn’t returned.

It remains unclear if the attacker was connected to the victim.

The mother was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital, but authorities confirm the baby girl is doing well.

Angela Parris, a nurse and the Wade’s landlord, told the Daily News that she believed her tenant was expecting.

“I’ve been crying a lot”, said Sutton’s next-door neighbor Cheryl Wilson, who babysat Sutton when she was a child.

“I’m the infant’s father”.

Police said further details would be released after the Medical Examiner performed a post-mortem examination on the victim and blood tests to establish the identities of the baby’s parents. “I do not know what is going on”. Charges against the suspect were pending while she underwent a psychological evaluation. Wade’s landlord says there was no doubt that her tenant was expecting.

He was standing outside the home cradling the healthy newborn when the officers showed up, and he rushed them to the crime scene.
