Jose Mourinho could return to Real Madrid

Mourinho’s position at Chelsea is now under serious threat, following an abject start to the season that has seen the reigning champions stranded in 16th in the table after 12 games.

Chelsea are willing to replace their under fire manager Jose Mourinho with Carlo Ancelotti but the former Real Madrid boss wants a move to Bayern Munich or Manchester United.

Ancelotti, in charge at Chelsea between 2009-11, winning the double in his first season in charge, is now taking a year out after leaving Real Madrid last season but was heavily linked with Liverpool before Jürgen Klopp was appointed and has been similarly linked with a return to Stamford Bridge.

‘It is not a secret that the current Real Madrid president (Florentino Perez) has backed Mourinho many times.
