DeRozan, Raptors beat Clippers 91-80

DeMar DeRozan had 21 points, DeMarre Carroll scored each of his 21 points in the first half, and the Raptors held Griffin and Paul scoreless through the first 20-plus minutes of a 91-80 victory over the Clippers on Sunday. I don’t think anybody is.

Russell just had his hands full trying to compete with Toronto All-Star point guard Kyle Lowry, who torched Russell and the Lakers for 25 points Friday night. “Losing the game hurt the most, but we’re getting crushed on the glass”, Clippers coach Doc Rivers told reporters after the loss in Portland.

There is a chance the Lakers could once again fire their head coach after a poor start, considering their history of doing that to Mike Brown and Mike D’Antoni, which brings us to the question: who can replace Scott to save the Lakers’ downward season?

This is an important game for both of these teams who started brightly but have gone off the boil a little in recent weeks. They are deeper this season than ever before though with Lance Stephenson, JJ Redick, Paul Pierce and more providing valuable support to the Griffin/Paul/Jordan trio. Rivers added, per Woike, “I’m not proud of anyone right now-including me”.

I think most people would define a “limit of 28-34 minutes” as in that Bryant would not, in any game, go over that range. Also, he could have just been sore from the long workout. It’s nice that the East could play closer to.

That has been absolutely true… until the past two or so seasons. Is he holding steady and now just two years away from contributing?

The Los Angeles Lakers are now sitting at 2-8 this 2015-16 National Basketball Association season so far, so it’s not like Kobe Bryant’s injury issues are hurting their playoff berth opportunity. That’s crucial, because Caboclo is a baby in basketball terms. The Raptor defense put loads of pressure on the Clippers’ players, and LA struggled to make shots. In one week since being assigned, he totaled 138 minutes with the 905. It’s how much money I can spend on it. I cannot go over that limit.
