X Factor judge Nick Grimshaw unkind, says voted-out singer Anton Stephans
It came to Cheryl Fernandez Versini to cast the deciding vote, or send the decision to deadlock and put it back in the public’s hands.
Anton Stephans was booted off X Factor after a sing-off which saw him compete against Che Chesterman.
“It still feels like an act to me”, Nick added.
It was an emotional weekend for Anton, who was forced to defend himself when faced with criticism from Nick Grimshaw.
Mason Noise was the first to leave the reality show last night, after receiving the lowest number of votes from the public, and Anton, who performed “I Can’t Make You Love Me”, went home soon after. Reggie ‘n Bollie could even have a few issues, even though they got prime real estate on the show.
Back in series four, 15-year-old Emily Nakanda was one of the early favourites to win the show, but had to back out, after a video emerged showing her violently attacking another teenage girl.
Anton will, however, take part in The X Factor live tour.
“Have never said I’m the prettiest or thinnest or even anything special”.
The backing singer clashed with the BBC Radio 1 DJ following his performance of One Sweet Day.
“It was a wonderful and extraordinary experience and I’ve just gained so much from The X Factor, I’ve made a new friend”, Anton said.
When asked if the disagreement had cost him his place in the competition, the Londoner said: “No. I don’t think he’s that powerful at all”.
The X Factor’s Mason Noise has been voted out of the competition.
On Twitter and Anton re-tweeted fans who accused Nick of “sabotaging” his chances. He responded to the judge: ‘This is not a performance.
