Through the first two quarters of Sunday night’s game, it seemed as though Palmer didn’t understand that he no longer plays for the Bengals.

That dip in performance isn’t the sole reason for the Bengals’ two-game slide, but it played a significant role. Dalton was 8 of 11 for 127 yards and a 141.1 passer rating, while Bernard had 71 yards on five receptions.

Scott: I think Palmer will play just fine. While Larry Fitzgerald already has 65 catches, Arizona has injury concerns at wideout as Michael Floyd missed his second day of practice and John Brown was limited Thursday due to hamstring injuries. Palmer may have had a lot to say this week about how his eight seasons in Cincinnati ended, but he still has respect for the defense even after slicing and dicing the last minute.

Signs point to the Broncos suffering a third consecutive loss, but it is worth remembering that they won many of their games earlier this season despite Manning, not because of him.
