Shots fired inside Florida hospital

The woman is identified as 41 year old Alana Tedesko.

The shooter’s relationship to Tedesko was not immediately clear.

Deputies were on the scene about two minutes after the shooting was reported.

“We treated it as an active shooter, since we had so many calls about shots”, she said.

She said there are security cameras through much of the hospital and that investigators are in the process of looking for video that could help in their investigation. They are also interviewing family members and hospital staff as the investigation continues.

A Tampa, Florida hospital is on lockdown after a man opened fire inside the building, according to local news reports.

Deputies are now on scene of a shooting that occurred just after 7 a.m. Monday morning inside Florida Hospital at 3100 East Fletcher Ave.

Except for the immediate area where the shooting happened, the hospital is operating normally.
