New details on Mass Effect: Andromeda leak
According to the new info, the game will include two companion characters as was the case with the original Mass Effect trilogy. Of course, who knows if this leak is real – in the interest of protecting identities, we have no was of corroborating this information.
Are you looking forward to seeing whether the leaked information will be available on the next “Mass Effect” installment?
So before we get into the meat of the leaks, we’d ask that you take everything said with a good pinch of salt, as you should any leak or rumour. Thre will be jetpacks for all the squad mates, they will be equipped with it, which will help them during exploration of the game’s universe.
What do you think of these details? And perhaps, given that it functions as a computation device in games prior, we expect to be able to commit to hacking mini-games, information gathering while exploring and more. In fact we wouldn’t be surprised to hear more next month.
With the Frostbite 3 engine at the helm, the same engine powering Battlefield 3 and 4, destructible cover should make an appearance.
Meanwhile, although “Mass Effect: Andromeda” won’t come out until late next year, developer BioWare promises that hardcore fans will see that it will be worth the wait.
Other important details include that the main character will be referred to as “the pathfinder”. One of your team is a Krogan (as seen in the E3 trailer) and the other is a “petite, buxom, blonde human woman”. I hope that there’s an autopilot for people like me – I prefer to let computers fly my spaceships instead of manual steering and the like. Much bigger than the Normandy and radically different in design, you’ll also actually pilot the ship rather than just select destinations as in previous incarnations of the series.
A few of the biggest changes seem to revolve around the ship itself. A Death Star would also be great!
This is all a bit confounding. The new enemies have not been named yet, and will look somewhat like a cross between a Collector and a Vorcha. There is also a human antagonist with armor similar to yours, but no N7 insignia. The video suggests that players take on the role of “The Pathfinder”.
The mods over at /r/MassEffect recently got contacted by an anonymous source claiming to have access to an early version of Mass Effect Andromeda. Share your thoughts with us.
