Buffalo Bills (5-4) at New England Patriots (9-0)
It does seem odd that Ryan, who seems to find reasons to talk about the Patriots even when he’s not playing them, would get so pissed off by questions about them in a week that he is.
Maybe that’s why Ryan was so prickly with the media in last Wednesday’s conference call.
But athletes being athletes, there’s a pride factor at work, a determination to not let what happened at Ralph Wilson Stadium on September 20 repeat itself in front of a national television audience Monday.
Will that be enough to reverse the result and pull a shocking upset?
Last week against the Giants, the Patriots saw receiver Julian Edelman go down with a broken foot. Given how Sunday’s games finished, tonight’s showdown against Rex Ryan’s Bills definitely still has a few key things to keep an eye on.
The Patriots are No. 2 in run defense, which is the same ranking as the Bills’ ground game. However, sportsbooks know once the public shows up, New England will have plenty of people pulling for them.
The Buffalo Bills travel to Gillette Stadium to face the undefeated New England Patriots in a big AFC East matchup. Still, Ryan won’t take them lightly, and he certainly doesn’t feel bad for them. You want to catch them off guard but if you get them hyped for the game?
Following an emotional win against his former team, Bills coach Rex Ryan is looking forward to seeing just how far Buffalo has come after back-to-back divisional victories. That’s what you said, we’ve lost seven of eight, I’ve lost seven of eight against them. But when it comes to world’s greatest coach, that’s an easy one.
Despite being slowed by a bum hamstring, McCoy, who has also dealt with shoulder woes, gained 89 yards and averaged 5.9 yards a carry against the Patriots in Week 2. “Just like (coach) Bill (Belichick) always tells us, our role is what we make it”, Dobson told the newspaper.
The New England Patriots could have a flawless regular season, but winning today is their biggest current task at hand.
While they aren’t lighting up the league on defense, they do more than enough to give their offense opportunities to win.
The 5-4 Bills are still in the playoff hunt, but historically have been fodder for the Pats. It is interesting though, because the Bills have been a better road team than they have been at home.
Now look for the Bills to try and return the favour.
On defense, pass rush on Brady is vital. Second, it’s Rob Gronkowski. I don’t see them losing four games in the upcoming things. In the first game, this was very hard because the Patriots were so sharp and Brady was getting the ball out within two seconds per dropback.
