Pregnant Woman is Murdered and Her Baby Ripped from Her Womb

When officers climbed to the second floor, they found Sutton face up in the bedroom, with a number of stab wounds to the neck and a cut across her stomach.

But the suspect in custody claims it’s her baby.

According to the MailOnline, Ashley Wade allegedly killed her victim Angelikque Sutton by slitting her throat, before performing a Cesarean section in an apartment in the Bronx. The child survived the attack and investigators were working over the weekend to determine how far along in her pregnancy the victim was.

The alleged murderer of a young pregnant mother was found clutching a child apparently cut from the victim’s womb, NY police revealed.

Sutton and the baby girl were taken to Montefiore Medical Center, where the mother died. “She tried to sell the idea that the baby was hers and she had just given birth right there”, a police source said yesterday. “It’s my baby!” Wade allegedly told cops. When police, who were called to her home by Wade’s boyfriend, Angel Praylow, arrived, she told them she had just given birth.

The woman accused of killing her is also 22 years old.

The baby was unhurt and is being cared for at a hospital in the Bronx.

Authorities are seeking a search warrant to test whether Wade actually is pregnant, sources said.

A recent post stated it was Wade’s due date but said “she’s not ready to come out yet”. Police received a 911 call at about 2:30 p.m from Sutton’s boyfriend, Patrick Bradley, who was being questioned by the police Friday evening.

Detectives brought Wade out of her apartment in handcuffs, neighbor Vivette Williams said. Her mother’s dad is a pastor in the nearby Zion Hill Pentecostal Church.
