Texans end Bengals’ flawless season

The Houston Texans star defensive end has damaged the integrity of the NFL. We’re 8-1. How many games have they won? Houston was coming off a bye in Week 9, while the Bengals stayed undefeated with a victory over the Browns in their last appearance. Instead, a backup quarterback with a history of beating Cincinnati got in the way.

For one, an 8-0 team couldn’t fill its stadium for a Monday night game. And the fans booed as the mishaps piled up. The Texans are averaging just 87.2 yards rushing this season, which ranks 28th in the league. And Tyler Eifert dropped three of seven passes thrown his way. “I thought we were going to go down and score and win the game”, Dalton said.

Hopkins’ incredible take was the culmination of an expertly marshalled drive by stand-in Yates, who marched the Texans 79 yards up-field before his 22-yard floated pass to Hopkins which settled the match. You probably know the type; your Facebook and Twitter timelines are likely filled with people who are worked up over seemingly the smallest issue. I felt that same vibe from everybody. Dalton converted a third-and-18 with a 26-yard pass to A.J. Green. Running backs Giovani Bernard and Jeremy Hill managed only 51 yards on 15 carries.

The Bengals had just two gains of 20 yards or more.

In fact, since the start of the 2012 season, only two other teams have accomplished the feat (Seattle in 2014, Indianapolis in 2013). It’s becoming a trend.

But the spat at least enlivened a less than scintillating game, says Frank Schwab of Yahoo.

For the third straight game, the Bengals allowed just 10 points to the opponent. The Cardinals are tied with Minnesota for second-best record in the NFC.

Though he said he still hasn’t seen the interview for himself, Dalton told ESPN’s Bob Holtzman on Tuesday, “There’s no feud between me and J.J”. This game doesn’t define our season.it doesn’t define anything.
