Rex Ryan says he’s not obsessed with the Patriots
The Bills could make a small dent in that on Monday night at Gillette Stadium, but Ryan knows that realistically everyone else in the division is playing for a wild-card berth. Hemmed in the pocket a good portion of the time, Taylor was sacked a season-high eight times in the first matchup with New England.
“I know we have improved as a football team”, Ryan said. His teams have lost eight of their past nine games versus the Patriots.
If Taylor is able to lead the Bills to the playoffs, both the 2015 incentive and 2016 salary escalator would double.
“Now the reason they say obsessed, I want what they have”, Ryan said. Defensive improvementsWhen the Bills played the Patriots in Week 2, New England was without their top defensive tackle, Dominique Easley, and the two best defenders, Chandler Jones and Malcolm Butler, had not yet emerged as the elite players that they’ve been over the past few weeks. Especially against the Patriots on Monday night. But do we want to beat them? And don’t forget the other Bills running back, Karlos Williams, who runs with power and strength and seems to find the end zone every week. “I mean, right now they are undefeated; they are playing great”.
Is Buffalo Bills head coach Rex Ryan obsessed with the New England Patriots? “If we don’t, then we’re vulnerable and he’s going to get us”. The question now is whether Amendola can be that guy for seven games and, potentially, more if Edelman’s return takes longer than expected. New England has dominated Buffalo for the better part of 15 years the way no National Football League team has ever dominated another, the beat downs more commonplace than right wing cracks about Obamacare. I want to beat them, but you guys are the ones who talk about them every single day. Helping them by taking 14 penalties is something the Bills have rightfully called embarrassing.
The New England Patriots (9-0) are coming from a 27-26 win over the NY Giants. Out there making plays in the running game and in the passing game.
The shifty Bills back has run for 100 yards in three straight games, including an impressive 112-yard night against a stiff NY Jets defense. Brady has been out of his mind despite being 38 years old, throwing for more than 3,000 yards and 24 touchdowns.
Rob Gronkowski has had a dominant season, but the Patriots might ask him to reach superhero status with Dion Lewis done for the year and Julian Edelman likely gone for the regular season.
Patriots injuries: New England will host the rematch minus two key weapons on offense and one on defense. That’s where we want to be.
It certainly did not disappoint as the two teams went head-to-head but the Patriots simply had too much weapons as they won 40-32 at Buffalo.
