Two Palestinian girls stabbed a man at Jerusalem market. One shot dead

Palestinian gunmen Monday night opened fire at Israeli security personnel at a military checkpoint between Jerusalem and the West Bank city of Ramallah.

The first attack saw a Palestinian woman, who tried to stab an Israeli man, run over by a Jewish settler before being shot dead by soldiers.

During the past two months, 83 Palestinians have been killed, a few while carrying out attacks and others in clashes with Israeli forces, while 19 Israelis and an American student have been killed in Palestinian stabbings, shootings and vehicle rammings.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health says that more than 90 Palestinians have been killed.

Israel says the current spate of violence is due to a Palestinian campaign of lies and incitement surrounding the sensitive holy site.

Two male victims, aged 27 and 80, were taken to hospital with light injuries, Israel’s medical service said.

According to Israel’s Channel 2 News, the Palestinian assailant, named Ahmad Daash of the West Bank village of Ketana, was shot and killed by IDF soldiers in the area.

One of the alleged attackers, a 16-year-old, was shot dead while the other, 14, was injured.
