Buccaneers nearly broke a bunch of franchise records against the Eagles

So far this season, Winston has thrown 15 touchdowns to just nine interceptions and on the ground, he has scored another four and gained 12 first downs.

The defense has bailed the offense out many times this year, but the offense is incapable of picking up the slack when needed. The Bucs have the space to give him that kind of money and they can easily make more by releasing a few expensive veterans, but Martin is going to take up a good chunk of cap space regardless – and that may hurt the Bucs’ chances of finding a few extra defensive talent in free agency.

DOUGIE FRESH: Martin reached 240 yards rushing, but lost yards on two carries in his final series. Martin had 251 vs. Oakland in his rookie season…. His 84-yard run was longest in franchise history. Buccaneers were missing G Ali Marpet and TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins…. Eagles RB Ryan Mathews was deactivated because he didn’t complete the National Football League concussion protocol after being injured last week….
