The Hollywood couple tied the knot in a gorgeous ceremony at The Breakers Resort in Florida’s Palm Beach on Sunday (US time), in front of their family and friends.

“The bride’s 23-year-old son Manolo Gonzalez Vergara, whom she shares with her ex-husband Joe Gonzalez, sported a white T-shirt that had “#Jofia” emblazoned in gold letters during an earlier ceremony.

The entire ceremony is a brainchild of master wedding planner, Mindy Weiss, and the couple tapped celebrity florist Jeff Leatham who has made the venue as captivating as the self-proclaimed “bridezilla” thought of.

The wedding festivities included a pool party, a lavish rehearsal dinner and a pre-wedding party, where the “True Blood” star serenaded his bride-to-be to a rendition of Guns N’ Roses’ “Sweet Child of Mine”, according to People.

A few of the celebs in attendance were Vergara’s “Modern Family” costars, actress Reese Witherspoon and actor Channing Tatum.

Sofia, 43, and Joe, 38, dated for only six months before they got engaged in Hawaii over the 2014 Christmas holidays when Joe proposed in Spanish. “I tell him if we’re going to do this, we have to do it, like, now, because I don’t want to be 50 with a baby”, Vergara said. Different celebs included Arnold Schwarzenegger, Harvey Weinstein, Georgina Chapman & Roselyn Sanchez.

Sofia, Joe, and their guests took to Instagram and Twitter to post their favourite moments from the cocktail and dessert party, which featured a performance by Colombian singer Jorge Celedon. She reportedly makes US$325,000 an episode for Modern Family, but earns much more from endorsements including being the face of Diet Pepsi.

And while the wedding involved many activities, guests and elaborate decor, the couple asked that in lieu of gifts, guests send a donation to one of two charities close to their hearts: St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital and Pittsburgh Children’s Hospital, reports People.
