Rex Ryan looking for that one signature win
Despite losing running back Dion Lewis and wide receiver Julian Edelman, Tom Brady continues to find ways to keep the New England offense on schedule. The total has gone UNDER in nine of the Bills’ last 12 games as underdogs. Collins has been absent for the past two weeks with an illness, and he is already listed as inactive for Monday night. Tight end Rob Gronkowski, who has a team-high eight touchdowns, had seven receptions and the first of his five 100-yard games this season in the earlier meeting. Ryan walked in front of one of the officials on the Bills sideline – which may have prompted the whistle – and was penalized 15 yards. “They are going to win the division”.
On the Road Again: The Bills have their third road game in a row next week when they meet the Chiefs in Kansas City.
Malcolm Butler will be matched up with Watkins, and if he can repeat the success he had against Beckham than the Patriots will be in a very good position. The first touchdown, an 11-yard pitch-and-catch, was significantly tamer than the second. “We’ve had several quarterbacks like that this year that we’ve played against that have run well – [Blake] Bortles and obviously Taylor and you can go right down the line”. “Julian Edelmans just aren’t sitting out on the street, or else they’d be playing for another team”. The drive was keyed by big catches from Danny Amendola and Brandon LaFell.
Buffalo (5-4) is also coming off an emotional win where Bills coach Rex Ryan was able to beat his former team.
The Bills were getting routed 37-13 in September before making things interesting with 19 unanswered points in the fourth quarter.
Tyrod Taylor had a quality performance throwing the ball for Buffalo, completing 23 of 30 passes for 242 yards, three TDs and three interceptions. The running game has also been pretty impressive and LeSean McCoy is looking more agile than he has in a long time, while Karlos Williams looks like a locomotive with a ball in his hands.
The Bills were equally committed four days later before embarking on their bye week, generating 148 yards on 33 carries in a 22-17 win over the Jets.
Did Ryan just pull a “I know you are, but what am I?” on the Boston media? “How much have we improved?” They have a handy channel finder on their website.
Ryan’s teams always seem to play up to New England for a few reason or another, and he seems determined to beat the Patriots. You can watch a live game stream here.
“Right now we’re second in the division”, Ryan said. “You never know what’s going to happen in the National Football League”. Three plays later, Tom Brady hit Benjamin Watson for the winning score.
