Stars boost league-best record with 3-0 win against Sabres

Schmidt made it 4-0 during a 4-on-4, reaching a loose puck in the left face-off circle and beating Berra high over his blocker.

Buffalo lost to St. Louis Thursday night in Missouri in a shootout, but have no collected points in five of their last six, and they’re getting healthier. Dallas (16-4-0) is off the best 20-game start in franchise history, which includes a 3-1 victory at Buffalo on Tuesday. Mark Scheifele and Dustin Byfuglien also scored to help the Jets earn consecutive wins for the first time since October 31.
