Peter Mukerjea brought to Delhi in Sheena Bora murder case

Peter Mukerjea, INX Media co-founder charged with criminal conspiracy and murder by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in the killing of his stepdaughter Sheena Bora was produced before the court on Monday. CBI accused him of “deliberately concealing facts” pertaining to murder and disposal of the victim’s body.

Mr. Mukerjea directed Rahul to his wife Indrani and told him he was wasting his time worrying about Sheena, according to emails which are part of the charge sheet filed by the CBI.

Rahul is considered to be an “important link” in the high-profile case as he has handed over several documents allegedly used by Sheena Bora to “blackmail” her mother Indrani Mukerjea, who is accused of murdering her.

“The police informed my father (Peter) and me that Sheena Bora was murdered on April 24, 2012 and a murder case has been registered against my mother (Indrani), driver Shyam Rai and my biological father Sanjeev Khanna. He took it very casually and said “ha ha” and disconnected the call”, Vidhie Mukerjea says in the statement.

Peter’s claim that he has spoken to Sheena and that she’s in the USA and later saying he will speak to her about the rent issue made investigators suspicious. Then she was introduced to me as my mother’s sister.

Peter revealed that a few hours after the phone call, his son Rahul – who was in a relationship with Sheena – had called him up. Due to this, Peter and Indrani used to quarrel a lot. I came to know that Sheena was my mother’s daughter after Rahul spoke about it to my father (Peter).

Moreover, the exchange of e-mails between Rahul, his father Peter and step-mother Indrani has brought new revelations in the case. He said that he had a normal conversation with the woman – who was allegedly pretending to be Sheena – and enquired about her health.
