Prem Ratan Dhan Payo 2nd Monday Collection Report
Superstar Salman Khan starrer this family entertainer was released on the next day of Diwali i.e. 12th November on 5600 screens worldwide, that comprises with 4500 screens of India & rest in overseas. The actor played the lead in this year’s blockbuster Bajrangi Bhaijaan, which set the cash registers ringing and also won him a lot of acclaim.
He is the only actor, whose film has collected more than Rs 500 crore at the domestic box office in a year. How?
According to reports, Salman Khan – Sonam Kapoor starer “Prem Ratan Dhan Payo” (PRDP) has earned Rs. 193.22 crore in 11 days, whereas “Bajrangi Bhaijaan” has collected Rs. 320.34 till now, making the overall collection of Salman Khan movies Rs 513.56 crore this year, and counting.
Leaving aside uncomparable’Bahubali”, “Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ has remained the fourth film in terms of box office collections after Salman Khan’s last film “Bhajrangi Bhaijan” that went on to collect Rs.240.72 crore this year, creating a record next only to “Bahubali”. He already has the highest number of 100 crore films. And the collections are still on.
Prem Ratan Dhan Payo (PRDP) box office collections: However, for Salman Khan fans, a few anxious times are in the offing. Otherwise, Aamir Khan’s “PK” stands at Rs.217.21 crore and Shahrukh Khan’s “Happy New Year” with Rs.174.75 crore comes next. Spectre was the only film which recorded impressive numbers.
And it looks Salman isn’t too far from his goal.
On its second Monday, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo is pegged to collect estimated Rs 3 cr, a 60% drop from 2nd Sunday.
