Congress regains Ratlam Lok Sabha Seat, increases tally to 45
Accusing the chief minister of taking voters for a ride, the upbeat former union minister said the result will mark the beginning of end of Chouhan’s term in Madhya Pradesh. Janata Dal (U) candidate Vijay Haari polled 21,549 votes. Its candidate Pusunoori Dayakar has received a total of 4,43,918 votes, whereas the Congress’ candidate Sarve Satyanarayana is placed at the second position with 1,12,829 votes.
The BJP and Congress both left no stone unturned while campaigning for their respective candidates. Kh Joykishan Singh of BJP won Thangmeiband assembly seat by securing 12,098 against Jyotin Waikhom of Congress who got 10,195 votes.
-In Dewas, BJP candidate Gayatri Raje Puar is leading by 3422 votes.
To encash sympathy, BJP has given ticket to Dilip Singh Bhuria’s daughter Nirmala Bhuria, a five-time MLA, in Ratlam-Jhabua, and to Tukojirao Puar’s wife Gayatri Raja Puar in Dewas. The BJP had won this seat for the first time in 2014.
Bhuria is trailing behind Congress’s Kantilal Bhuria by over 60,000 votes in the Ratlam-Jhabua Lok Sabha seat, as per the latest trends.
On its part, BJP too roped-in Union Ministers Narendra Singh Tomar, Thawar Chand Gehlot, national vice-president and in-charge of the party in Madhya Pradesh Vinay Sahastrbuddhe, national general secretary Kailash Vijaywargiya, state BJP president Nandkumar Singh Chouhan and a number of state Cabinet ministers for the electioneering.
Meghalaya: The Hill State People’s Democratic Party wins one seat. It lost the seat to the Congress by over 80,000 votes and thus helped increase the Congress tally in the Lok Sabha to 45.
The ruling TRS appears set to retain the Warangal (SC) Lok Sabha seat with its candidate Pasunoori Dayakar establishing a lead of almost 2.5 lakh votes.
