Warangal by-poll Result
The TRS candidate was polled 6,15,403 votes, while the Congress candidate got 1,56,315 votes.
Congress is now trailing behind at second position, while the alliance Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-Telegu Desam Party (TDP) lags behind with a margin of more than 3,50,000 votes.
The Ratlam by poll was being seen as a test of Madhya Pradesh CM Chouhan’s image, which political pundits believe has taken a hit in view of the Vyapam scam and Petlawad blast in which 80 people were killed.
-Over 62 percent turnout was recorded for Dewas Assembly bypoll.
The by-poll is necessitated following the resignation of sitting TRS MP K Srihari after he became Telangana Deputy Chief Minister.
-In Ratlam, eight candidates, including Congress candidate and former Union minister Kantilal Bhuria, BJP nominee and MLA Nirmala Bhuria and Grand Alliance candidate Vijay Haari are testing their political fortunes. She is also a five-time MLA, in Ratlam-Jhabua. BJP also gave a ticket to Tukojirao Puar’s wife Gayatri Raja Puar in Dewas. The candidate of Congress in Dewas is Jayprakash Shastri. With this lead, celebrations started outside his house.
