The second trailer for “The Big Short” lets us further imagine what it would be like if A-list stars were to solve a financial crises. Then there’s the cast, with the A-list team of Brad Pitt, Christian Bale, Steve Carell and Ryan Gosling working under the direction of Adam McKay’s (“Anchorman”, “Talladega Nights”) -it’s his first foray into making Movies For Adults. McKay has made a name for himself as the writer-director of a few of the best loved cult comedies of the last decade, though he’s never made a secret of his interest in economic corruption and disparity. The central group sees the writing on the wall, and they decide to bet against banks in hopes of profiting from the inevitable financial collapse. Their bold investment leads them into the dark underbelly of modern banking where they must question everyone and everything.
