Bale to leave Madrid for Manchester United
If he’s available in the summer and really does want to come, van Gaal and Manchester United should be ready to bring him home.
Thirty-year-old Ronaldo was brought to Real Madrid from Old Trafford in July 2009 for 80 million pounds.
If Ronaldo does decide to leave the club, he is not likely to be short of possible suitors with both Paris Saint-Germain and former club Manchester United both consistently linked with move for the Madeira-born star.
Van Gaal, quoted by several British Sunday newspapers, said: “We are looking at all players, not just Ronaldo. I also miss PG Tips tea bags”, Bale said [per the Sun].
Don’t get us wrong, Bale is a very good player, but he is not even in the same realm in terms of talent when it comes to the freak that is Cristiano Ronaldo.
Well, now it looks like he’s chosen, and if true it will only strengthen the bond between the player and his agent, the man many consider to be the most powerful man in all of world soccer. “With Ronaldo, let’s wait and hope”.
United fans, how desperate are you to see Ronaldo return to Old Trafford?
Ronaldo was part of Real Madrid squad that was thrashed 4-0 by Barcelona on Saturday in one of the most disastrous outing this season. He is the all time goal scorer at Madrid, victor of three Ballon d’Ors, and reportedly the world’s richest player, earning around £288k-per-week after tax.
Yet Evra says Van Gaal’s predecessor, Sir Alex, wanted Ronaldo back in a red shirt.
“But I think he would try to make Ronaldo fit into his system, rather than the other way around”.
The 26-year-old attacker has been handed a more central role by the under-fire coach this term, and feels he has settled well in the Spanish capital since his world-record £83million transfer in 2013.
But with the team that van Gaal has built in the last 18 months is there space for an egotistical, selfish goalscoring machine?
“And he was like, ‘Pat for the moment I don’t know'”.
