Blackhawks unveil 2016 Stadium Series jerseys
The Stadium Series game between the Blackhawks and Wild will take place on February 21, 2016 at TCF Bank Stadium on the campus of the University of Minnesote. Both jerseys use the same template as the older Stadium Series uniforms in that they are futuristic. Early on Tuesday, they released a photo of the sweater players will wear over Twitter. Not that it’s bad, but I think it would have looked better with just green.
That monetary success is reflected in a new ranking by Forbes, which lists the Blackhawks as the fourth most valuable organization in the entire National Hockey League. “Additionally, the black shoulder yoke serves as a visual representation of the city’s nickname, the ‘City of Big Shoulders.’ The team’s secondary logos overlap the top three stripes on the sleeve rather than the traditional shoulder placement”.
The jersey features black shoulders and numbers, with a white collar that features the four stars of the Chicago flag.
A lot of planning went into the design of the Blackhawks jersey and it shows.
On Stubhub, the cheapest tickets for the outdoor game are going for more than $179. As long as they keep creating gorgeous pieces of art like this, they can have as many outdoor games as they want.
