Los Angeles Lakers’ Kobe Bryant’s Playing Time a Concern?
The Warriors tied the best start in National Basketball Association history with a win over Nuggets Sunday, joining the 1948-49 Capitols and the 1993-94 Rockets as the only teams to start a season 15-0.
Bryant finished with 10 points in 38 minutes on 5-for-13 shooting after being rested Monday night in Phoenix during the Lakers’ 120-101 loss.
From those who cover the National Basketball Association, there has been the notion that this current rookie class for the 2015-16 season could be among the deepest and most talented we have seen in years. “We’ve been playing like s-t”.
“We respect Griffin and Paul because they’re All-Stars, but it’s not the first time we’ve played them”, centre Bismack Biyombo said after making his first start of the season for the injured Jonas Valanciunas.
One element Bryant particularly preached Friday was ball movement, which he felt was lacking against the Raptors.
The 7-foot Valanciunas suffered the injury in the final minute of the first half, when Kobe Bryant fouled him under Toronto’s basket. “I thought tonight from an aggressiveness standpoint it was one of his better games”. I mean, if you were trying to build around a talented young forward like Julius Randle, would you let Metta World Peace anywhere near him?
Scott, who will defend Bryant to his death, gave a customary curious answer, partially explaining why the Lakers are in the predicament they’re in, lakersnation.com reported. Or, as Eric Pincus of the Los Angeles Times put it following Kobe’s 6-of-22 outing against the Portland Trail Blazers, becomes the “elephant in the Lakers’ locker room”. However, Bryant’s influence on the team appeared to be one of a guiding figure more than the elite scorer that has terrorized the league for two decades.
Toronto forward added 20 points and eight rebounds, and point guard contributed 13 points, 10 assists and three steals as Raptors beat the Clippers for the third straight time, all by double-digit margins.
So far, that’s proven accurate as the Raptors have dropped the first three games of their road trip and sit at 7-6 overall as they get set for Friday night’s matchup with Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers.
Randle is just starting to get himself accustomed to the National Basketball Association brand of ball. The list goes on.
When allowing 100 or more points, the Toronto Raptors are 2-3. He said Stephen Curry has taken his game to another level and marveled at Draymond Green’s defense. “The ones that aren’t have what I call youth-age, like Andre Iguodala, Andrew Bogut, Shaun Livingston – those guys bring an element to the team is incredible”. They don’t have that championship hangover. “It’s scary, because they’re not living on a year ago”.
“If you continue to make the same mistakes”, Scott said, “then I’ve got to do something about it”.
The Black Mamba played in 37 minutes, which marked a season high for him, according to CBS Sports.
Even though Bryant only played alongside him for a single season, Kobe considers Butler to be one of the best teammates he’s ever had.
Randle showcased his playmaking (18 points on 6-of-9 shooting and 12 rebounds).
