Holiday travel on the rise

A gradually recovering economy and lower gas prices mean more people than ever are traveling for Thanksgiving 2015, which means travelers can look forward to crowded airports and congested highways this year. Gasoline prices in Wyoming are 27 cents lower than they were last month and 85 cents below November 2014 levels.
It’s also important to remember that more families will be traveling this week – and they might not be as speedy when going through security.
The “plummet” referred to gas prices dropping below $3 a gallon in the Kanawha Valley.
The average price for a gallon gasoline in Georgia fell nearly a dime last week, according to AAA data.
“We had lower prices in 2008 and 2009 but not for Thanksgiving”, Kloza said.
According to a Gas Buddy’s senior petroleum analyst, oil prices jumped Monday, so many stations across the area are raising their prices to $1.99/gallon.
Right now, the average is $2.072, Kloza said.
Oil continues to sell for cheap on global trading markets, just over $40 a barrel Tuesday morning, a glut of oil in reserves and low demand during the fall is driving prices down.
