WWE Survivor Series 2015 – The 25th Anniversary of The Undertaker
WWE concluded its WWE Title tournament Sunday night at WWE Survivor Series 2015, with Roman Reigns defeating Dean Ambrose in the main event to finally capture the World Title. The lines of “good vs evil” can be very blurred in today’s product, but that can’t stop WWE from establishing a new top villain, a move that must be made following Seth Rollins’ injury.
Reigns and Del Rio had no in-ring chemistry in this match and it showed. According to the tournament bracket, they appear destined to have a match with each other. She finished it by locking Charlotte in the PTO on the announce table.
Will Sunday night’s WWE Survivor Series event in Atlanta, Georgia be cancelled due to an alleged ISIS threat?
“WWE Survivor Series is now scheduled as planned while we investigate the matter with federal, state and local authorities”.
As a result, WWE has a new villain who will be under much pressure, as the biggest pro wrestling company in the world heads into the WrestleMania season, Forbes reported. Reigns escaped a Cross Armbreaker, which Del Rio hasn’t used since his return last month. Owens dominated most of the match.
After pre-match fun and a bit of action, the eliminations came in a hurry. It looked like Owens might pull off the upset after delivering a superkick and setting up the Pop-up Powerbomb. Ambrose pinned Owens after hitting Dirty Deads. Even if this wasn’t the case, the two would have had a rematch anyway, and their rematch would occur on Monday night. They already planted the seed with that Triple H segment, and in certain arenas he’s already got half the crowd booing him. Sheamus took advantage of the distraction by rushing into the ring and delivering a Brogue Kick to Reigns’s head – and then quickly pinning to take the title. However, Sheamus would cash-in his Money in the Bank briefcase to walk out with the belt.
With technical issues like not allowing some late-arrival fans to watch from the start – and thus spoiling the two semi-final matches – to a disastrous Paige-Charlotte angle that the WWE abandoned all too late and the horrific booking in the Brothers of Destruction-Wyatt Family match, the show failed on nearly every level. The crowd was hardly enthused, aside from a mediocre pop.
The issue with Ambrose turning, as DiMoro points out, is that older fans will continue to cheer for him as a bad guy. Charlotte made Paige tap out to the Figure Eight.
The match was nothing short of exciting as an all-out brawl breaks out between the four WWE superstars.
The broadcast team spoke about Undertaker’s anniversary at Survivor Series and still shots were shown…
Ryback, The Lucha Dragons and The Usos took on (and beat) The New Day, Sheamus and King Barrett.
The celebrations began after the match ended. A better outcome would have seen Roman win the championship with help from Triple H. Dean Ambrose should be the one getting pushed as the current top babyface. Wyatt hit Sister Abigail on D-Von and the Wyatt Family left the Dudleys lying.
