Marco Rubio Calls Paris Terrorist Attacks “A Positive Development” For Americans
“These are radical terrorists who want to kill us because we let women drive, because we let girls go to school”, Rubio, 44, says directly to the camera.
“I didn’t say that – I said that obviously, no one’s happy that there was a terrorist attack, but it has refocused our campaign on what I think should be the number one issue in any federal campaign – especially for the presidency – and that is our national security”, Rubio said.
“There is no middle ground”, the GOP candidate continues.
He adds: “I’m Marco Rubio”.
The other Republicans who have filed for the 2015 caucus are Ohio Governor John Kaisich, former Florida governor Jeb Bush, Retired Surgeon Ben Carson, Businessman Donald Trump, and U.S. Senator from Texas Ted Cruz.
While discussing polling with host Chris Wallace on the, Rubio told viewers he believed the terrorist attacks resulted in a “positive development” in that they influenced Americans to become more concerned about terrorism. Just 18 percent of Americans do not think such an attack is likely to occur.
In a recent TV interview, Rubio called the U.S.’s long-running war on terror a “clash of civilizations” between the West and radical Islam. The point I am making is that it is the only country in the history of the world that he could have done what he did for us: “work as a bartender and leave us better off. Where else in the world could he have really have done that?” And it would have strengthened his hand and allowed him to send a message to the world that he had taken on the United States and still held on. They’re going to fluctuate between now and Election Day, especially in early states where voters wait until the last week, the last day oftentimes to make their decision. “There will have to be American operators embedded alongside them – special operators are combat troops”.
“This is not a return to Iraq”, he said.
