Danny Amendola Has Knee Sprain, May Play Sunday
The 10-0 New England Patriots will have a harder and harder time maintaining their ideal record if injuries continue to pile up like they have in recent weeks.
New England Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola suffered a knee sprain during Monday night’s game against the Buffalo Bills and may be able to play this weekend. He is questionable to return, according to SB Nation. He caught nine passes for 117 yards before exiting in the third quarter with the knee injury. For now, owners shouldn’t plan on having Amendola for Sunday, but it sounds like one missed game might be the worst-case scenario.
The Patriots have shuffled linemen all season long, though here, there are plenty of good reasons for the shuffling.
Given Amendola’s checkered injury history, he’s hardly someone the team can count on to stay healthy down the stretch.
Amendola was the team’s go-to receiver Monday night in Julian Edelman’s absence. It is never wise to count out Brady though.
