Freeze looks ahead to Egg Bowl

The University of Mississippi Police Department is asking the Federal Bureau of Investigation to step in and conduct a separate investigation into the incident where an Ole Miss fan was allegedly hit by a temporary officer during a game.

Saturday in Starkville will mostly be a backyard brawl between two programs that don’t like each other much.

LSU coach Les Miles hasn’t had many opportunities this season to call his special teams “the bright spot” of a game.

There’s little respect in the divide between these teams, but when it comes to the focal points of both teams’ success, each side has no choice but to tip its hat to the opposing quarterback.

“The Egg Bowl, because of what it is, [getting ready to play] won’t be that hard”, Rebel head coach Hugh Freeze said according to Ole Miss’ official site. Allen, a more talented quarterback, cashed in for a career game.

That loss didn’t sit well with Bulldogs quarterback Dak Prescott.

You want to talk about momentum? If it’s Mississippi State that wins Saturday, things get a lot more cloudy for the Rebels.

For the second consecutive game Mississippi State didn’t record a sack. “I’m excited to go out and play against him”. I bet he’ll get a pretty good ovation.

On the other side, Kelly hasn’t been too shabby, either. But Mississippi State (8-3) is looking to finish off a terrific season with a shot finishing out with ten games – if it wins its bowl. That puts them within striking distance for Ole Miss and State, both of whom are hoping to overtake them for a spot in the Sugar Bowl.

“Marquis has just had a really solid year for us”, Freeze said. “It really dawned on me that year, and it’s been getting bigger and bigger every year”. “He’s a great player, a great leader, a victor, and will compete at a high level”.

It’s one day closer to the game everyone looks forward to and dreads all at the same time.
