Bindi Irwin Wins Dancing with the Stars!
DANCING WITH THE STARS – “Episode 211A” – In the two-hour season finale on TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 24 (9:00-11:00 p.m., ET), the three finalists advanced to the final stage of the competition.
“Dancing with the Stars” season 21 may be over, but the show will resume in the spring of 2016 with a 22nd season of glitzy, glittery action from the esteemed ballroom.
When Derek Hough said that Bindi Irwin did not know how to dance at all when she started rehearsing for “Dancing With the Stars” a few months ago, it feels like it was years ago. Plus, Alek Skarlatos and Nick Carter continue to improve, which means they could sweep in and win the trophy as the most improved. In the first part of this season’s finale Monday night, Bindi dedicated her dance routine to her dad. And Nick Carter brought the audience on its feet and cheering with his group dance to “Larger Than Life”, his 1999 hit song with the Backstreet Boys.
Aussie teen Bindi Irwin and partner Derek Hough nailed a quickstep as they bid for the Dancing With The Stars title.
Bindi and Derek performed the Viennese waltz on “Something on my Mind”, a repeat of their Week 8 routine.
Despite being eliminated early on, Chaka Khan was back to perform her disco hit “I’m Every Woman” as the action kept frenetically jumping between the ABC studio and The Grove.
Her optimistic manner, fearless approach and surprising skill had impressed judges and viewers.
The couple announced as being in third place was Alek Skarlatos and Lindsay Arnold, which made Bindi Irwin and Nick Carter the top two contestants. Instead of all that, Derek wanted to showcase Bindi as a dancer, and show how far she has come.
“I think it’s going to be a very, very close run”, Inaba said.
“This whole season has been a love letter to her dad”.
Bindi! Are we really surprised? “I love coming to visit, because my mum’s family is from OR”, she shares. She and Hough consistently received high scores and eventually winning the mirror ball trophy. “Thank you for changing my life”, she said graciously.
