A New 40-Player Mode is Coming to Star Wars Battlefront
Those of you who pre-ordered Star Wars: Battlefront will be able to try it out on December 1st, while it’s set to become available as feel DLC for everyone else just one week later.
DICE should look at adding another free map and mode or two besides their season pass. Maybe give us more maps inspired by The Force Awakens.
By releasing The Battle of Jakku for free, the number of maps goes up to six, which makes things a little bit more interesting, not to mention that there will be a new mode.
DICE announces the inclusion of a brand new feature to Star Wars Battlefront’s The Battle of Jakku DLC with the addition of a large-scale 40-player mode. The Rebels have to locate the enemy bases to attack after an emergency landing, they need to take control of all of them. Every time the Rebels capture a base, more time is added to the clock and the idea is to grab ’em all before time expires.
Moving on to Turning Points last Empire base will trigger a final stand scenario, while the mode will also include airspeeders and defensive AT-STs.
The Ion Torpedo is one of the Star Cards that you can get relatively earlier in Star Wars Battlefront. The 40-player match opens with the Empire in control of the map, while Rebels assault three different control points. If you’re in an airspeeder on the other hand, you’ll be on the offence, giving supportive fire to your Rebel team mates. Piloting it, you will need to move between areas a lot to meet the Rebel assault.
Star Wars Battlefront players will have the chance to dive into a brand new planet being showcased in Star Wars: The Force Awakens before the film even comes out, and now EA has offered some details on what fans can expect.
The original version of the “Super Star Wars” game was released only for Nintendo’s consoles, back in the year 1992.
EA Studios executive Patrick Soderlund said in a new blog post that players will be receiving more free content in the coming months.
