Holly Holm met Jay Z and didn’t know who his wife was

If she was not willing to take a what some considered a risk, Holm would know nothing of her new journey which has completely changed her world.
For the past 18 months, the only fighter many critics could ever see challenging Rousey for her bantamweight strap was Cyborg. Well, here it is again: UFC superstar Ronda Rousey suffered a blistering knockout loss at the hands of Holly Holm at UFC 193.
Winkeljohn added, “Cris Cyborg is just incredible with her strength and with what she can so”. But despite this, people just won’t stop asking her to watch it. “Sometimes when you’re a favorite, it’s like ‘oh crap, now everybody thinks I should run through this person, ‘ and you have everything to lose”. And now, surely, every female fighter at her division would want a crack at her for the title. She must be. There is no denying the fact that she was an underdog and no one gave her any chance to enter second round, let alone win the match in a fashion that she did.
“I met Jay Z and he says this is my wife and I say…”
“I go back to Beyoncé and I’m like, ‘I can’t believe I just did that.’ She goes, ‘Oh no, it’s fine.’ I’m like, ‘No, I really… it’s such an honor to meet you, ‘” Holly says. “I wish her all the best”, McGregor said when he was asked if he has spoken to Rousey.
“I mean, I wouldn’t vote for him”, Rousey said of the billionaire. But, could the UFC look at having Holm fight “Justino” at some juncture?
“I want to be a good champion and I am looking forward to defending the belt”, said Holm.
Women who aspire to pursue a career in sports are up against a lot of scrutiny and have to go the extra mile to prove themselves on a journey to success.
While there, her newly found fame gained her entrance into the VIP viewing party, where rapper Jay Z and his wife – what’s her name? – were also in attendance. To those meeting Holm and hearing her story for the first time, it could appear that she fell out of the sky and into the Octagon a couple weeks ago to fight Rousey.
