Motorola Moto 360 (2nd Gen) to arrive in India on December 1
The company is all set to launch the second-generation of its smartwatch Moto 360 in India. The company has sent media invites for a launch event in New Delhi. The invite comes with a tagline Focus and Prioritize, where the alphabet “O” in both the words is represented by the Moto 360’s watchface. While it’s not clear how many versions of the Moto 360 (2015) will come to India, this year Motorola has launched three versions of the watch on the basis of size: two aimed at men and one at women. The price of the smartwatch starts at $299 (approx Rs 19800) in the U.S. and goes up to $429 (about Rs 28400) depending on the configuration chosen. The 42mm Moto 360 comes with a 1.37-inch (360×325-pixel resolution) display, while the bigger 46mm model has a 1.56-inch (360×330-pixel resolution) display.
Under the hood of the Moto 360 2nd gen is a 1.2GHz quad core Snapdragon 400 SoC and a 512MB of RAM.
For those who aren’t already aware, the limited-edition collection consists of three Moto X Pure smartphones – each offering 32GB of internal memory and carrying a price tag of $474.99.
For connectivity there’s Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g.
The Moto X Pure Edition touts a 5.7-inch IPS LCD display with 1440 x 2560 pixels resolution. Smart features include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope and optical heart rate monitor (PPG). The women’s Moto 360 comes in a 42mm case and requires a 16mm band.
Like many modern Android Wear watches, Moto 360 second-generation smartwatch also supports ambient display capability which means the watch display comes with the ability to switch to a power efficient black and white mode with minimal information when you’re not actively looking at it so that the battery will last for a long time.
